Show Choir! - The MusicalMeet Monica Susans!
Multiple Grammy Award winning composer Monica Susans was
raised on a dairy farm in rural Wisconsin. As a young woman,
she attended Northwestern University where she graduated
summa cum laude with a double major in music composition
and education. Her first job out of college was teaching home
economics at Tipton Valley High School in Ohio, where she was
introduced to the school's choir director Jake Jonathan. Sharing
a passion for music they eventually joined forces to form The
Symphonic Sensations, giving Ms. Susans her first opportunity
to compose original music. Together she and Mr. Jonathan have led
the Sensations far beyond their modest high school beginnings
to the top of the Billboard Charts. Ms. Susans is also well known Aubyn Peterson as Monica Susans
for her highly recognizable commercial jingles. Staged Reading 2006
