Jake Jonathan, the self-proclaimed "Mr. Show Choir", was born in the small
town of Sterling, Nebraska in 1974 to loving parents James and
Edith
Jonathan.
As a child he showed promising talent in music and dance and
would often rally the neighborhood kids to perform in musical extravaganzas
he would throw in his backyard. Upon graduating high school Mr. Jonathan
had his sites set on attending Julliard; however, due to the untimely death of
his father he decided to stay close to home and enrolled in the music program at
Sterling State College. It was in college where he began studying under
famous jazz musician Slappy Phelps, who eventually became both his

mentor and lifelong friend. After college Mr. Jonathan quickly landed a
job
teaching music at Tipton Valley High School in Ohio where he was
introduced to fellow teacher and music aficionado Monica Susans. In the
fall of
2004 Mr. Jonathan claims to have had a life altering dream about
forming
a show choir and turning them into a pop phenomenon. After
sharing his dream with Ms. Susans they joined forces and formed the
Symphonic Sensations. Over the past decade they have transformed their
small town show choir into a multiple award winning international pop                                                  Mick Bonde as Jake Jonathan
sensation.
Mr. Jonathan's dream is still thriving today as the Symphonic                                               Staged Reading 2008
Sensations continue to
spread the art of show choir around the world.

"People don't go to theme parks to ride the rides...they go to see the shows!"
